I obtained my Ph.D in veterinary sciences (microbiology option) from the University of Montreal and deepened my knowledge by completing postdoctoral internships at INRS and NRC. During these years, I studied the role of certain global regulation mechanisms in bacterial virulence and explored the biotechnological potential of methylotrophic strains. I particularly wonder about the involvement of stochastic phenomena in the adaptation of bacterial populations, and I am fascinated by genetic engineering used as a tool to identify and understand functional phenotypes involved in pathogenesis. I like to pass on my knowledge, and I hope to support the members of the Le Roux laboratory in their projects. Outside of the laboratory, I escape by downhill skiing and mountain biking; but nothing beats a delicious meal with friends or family!
