During my graduate studies at the University of Sherbrooke, I have always been fascinated by the ability of bacteria to adapt to their environment. During my bachelor’s program, I had the opportunity to study antibiotic and heavy metal resistance in Enterobacteriaceae through several research lab internships. This interest naturally led me to continue exploring this topic in my master’s project, which focuses on evaluating antimicrobial resistance in Vibrio crassostreae, an oyster pathogen, and identifying new resistance genes. In my free time, I love traveling internationally and discovering new places in Montreal. At home, I enjoy relaxing with a good book and surrounding myself with animals, especially my cat, Darwin.
