I graduated from UCLouvain in Belgium in 2023. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in bacteriology, particularly in the various mechanisms bacteria use to adapt to their environment. This naturally led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular, and Cell Biology. As part of this program, I had the opportunity to work in Prof. P. Hols’ laboratory, focusing on the discovery of novel regulators controlling competence in Lactococcus lactis. Through the ERASMUS European project, I have the chance to spend four months in the Le Roux lab, where I am working on understanding the regulation and function of a newly identified antiphage system encoded by PICMI. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature and have a deep passion for running.
